Evaluating Your Program

Implementing a comprehensive, accurate, yet manageable, evaluation process is key to ensuring the success and continued funding of your program.

Evaluating CLFC with Retrospective Surveys

Evaluating CLFC (Creating Lasting Family Connections) with Retrospective Surveys: A Guide for Community Organizations is a 4-module series designed by members of Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs and The Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation (PIRE). The steps and materials within this program help make the CLFC evaluation process quick, easy, and self-supporting so you can gather the data you need while continuing to focus on the needs of your community.

Evaluation Materials Overview

Module 1 – Selecting & Administering Surveys

Module 1 focuses on selecting and administering surveys. Instructional materials and an interactive webinar describe each of the six surveys, how to select the correct survey, when to administer each survey, and how to properly store completed surveys.

Module 2 – Entering Survey Data into Excel

Module 2 focuses on entering survey data into Excel spreadsheets. Instructional materials, an interactive webinar, and survey codebooks describe systematic instructions on how to enter, save, and organize survey data.

Module 3 – Analyzing Data & Reporting Results

Module 3 focuses on the analysis of data and reporting the results. As data is entered into Excel, formulas automatically create reports that are extensive, but easy to read.

Supplemental Module – Compiling & Reporting Results for the Grants & Funding Management System (GFMS)

The Supplemental Module is an additional module for those who will be reporting their outcomes in the OhioMHAS GFMS. Instructions guide users through steps necessary to produce annual reports.
